Elevated Square

The first attempt to work with the site was focused on a building detail: an empty façade which was following ridgmount street. In fact, this neighborhood didn’t underline what’s happen behind its façades. Buildings which was before housingare today officies or shops due to the economical crisis firstly.

Nowadays, Square concept isn’t up to date because of this change. The starting point for this project was to mix this program with another public and private to create a contunuity, a porosity beetween them.

The first attempt to work with the site was focused on a building detail: an empty façade which was following ridgmount street. In fact, this neighborhood didn’t underline what’s happen behind its façades. Buildings which was before housingare today officies or shops due to the economical crisis firstly.

The project is a vertical square in which housing comes to grief in. People are observed by a medicinal lab. In fact, inhabitants can have an access to a house in London center in exchange to test plant medicinal pills. Inhabitants will see their corporal and mental energy changing against a house inside this big privative garden.

Each house have also its proper garden in its entrance. Also, they are cultivating their proper plant which will have nice or bad effects on them.

Plants will be send in a special garbage before following a particular production process.

Production columns permite a vertical circulation to have an access to the proenade which is breaking throught the glasshouse. It permite to give another point of view to the public and to be upper than housing. It invert the vertical & social classment.

The architecture developped for this project would like to give an answer to my first detail analyse of hidden program.

In the same time, it’s dealing with an exhuberant architecture of industrial production. It was also a way to express what kind of architecture could follow that kind of twisted program. It could happen in a near future, in name of the “green” architecture mood.
